The name itself is derived from my own, inspired by Tavares and Guimarães, reflecting my family name and Afro-Portuguese background. In many ways, the brand is an extension of me, my perspective, my creativity, and my vision.

Vares Maraês is centred around sculptural, statement pieces designed to empower. It is created for women who don’t need to overexplain themselves.

Each piece is designed with intention, celebrating the body in all its forms across shapes, sizes, and skin tones.
